Job Description
We are working on behalf of a fantastic Midlands based insurer, who are looking to add to their Compliance team due to continued growth. They are seeking a Quality Assurance Officer who will be carrying out monthly technical underwriting audits, typical volumes per month would be around 60 audits and above.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct Quality Assurance Audits within the Underwriting Services Department to monitor adherence to underwriting guidelines and licence authorities.
- Conduct Quality Assurance Audits within other departments to assess service quality and adherence to internal processes.
- Analyse the compliance standards being achieved by conducting Quality Assurance Audits and provide ongoing assurance of adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Proactively identify areas for improvement where required and work with the business to implement remedial actions.
Job Requirements:
- Background working in an insurance environment
- Demonstratable experience working in a compliance, conduct or QA role
- Good knowledge of FCA Rules and Regulations
- A proactive ‘can do’ and flexible attitude. Be able to recognise priorities a short notice
- An excellent standard of literacy, numeracy and attention to detail
- Self-Motivated and good organisational skills. Able to manage own workload and deliver against deadlines with minimal supervision
- Ability to work independently and confidentially
- Experienced in the use of all Microsoft Office applications to an intermediate level
- Good analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and ability to communicate at all levels
- Ability to build successful relationships with all stakeholders
- Champions the compliance culture and acts as a role model
- Takes responsibility for own development
- Good judgement and listening skills
- Ability to innovate and improve working processes
