Job Description
We're delighted to be partnering with a Kent based Fintech lender, who are looking to expand their Risk department with the addition of an Operational Risk Officer.
As an Operational Risk Officer, you will be responsible for the ongoing development of the risk management framework, with a particular focus on operational risk management and the reporting of key risk indicators.
Your role will involve but not be limited to:

Assisting the Chief Compliance Officer in the implementation of the Operational Risk Management Framework, along with supporting standards and risk tools such as RCSA

Supporting operational risk activities with the first line of defence to ensure the risk management framework is integrated

Providing guidance to the 1LOD around processes and services and identifying/assessing and monitoring risks

Maintaining a full understanding of the company's compliance requirements and act in accordance of these

Partnering with different departments to make sure their expertise is used when needed in first-line operations

Supporting with operational risk reporting
The ideal individual will have:

At least 3 years' operational risk experience in an FCA regulated environment or a minimum of 5 years' experience in a 1LOD operations role

A strong assurance background

Excellent knowledge of operational risk best practice

Strong attention to detail

Ability to work to tight deadlines and prioritise their work

Ability to write policies and procedures

This is a hybrid role, due to the client's remote location the ability to drive would be desirable`
