We are thrilled to be partnering with a thriving London based Consumer finance business who are looking to appoint a newly created Regulatory Compliance Manager position.
The Role:
The successful applicant will be responsible for compliance and financial crime monitoring, compliance advice, horizon scanning and working with the business to maintain and improve our compliance environment.
The business operates hybrid working with the expectation to be present in our London office whenever needed and for at least two days per week.
Key Responsibilities:
• Working closely with the CRO to manage all regulatory activity throughout the company
• Conduct compliance reviews internally and with our broker population
• Maintain the Compliance Manual
• Maintain compliance records
• Providing guidance and support to managers across the business
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including the Directors, to ensure that an effective compliance function is delivered
• Keep abreast of developments in regulation and regulator activity, advising the business
Requirements:
• Proven experience in FCA compliance, preferably gained in a consumer credit provider
• Self-starter and ability to identify priorities
• Confidence and experienced to interact with senior management and regulators
• Ability to see all sides of a disagreement, and able to find a commercially viable solution where possible
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
• A customer-focused approach to work
