Finance Business Change Consultant (Contract/Associate)
Overview:
We set out to build the world’s most trusted consulting firm – creating lasting impact for clients and pioneering a positive, people-first way of working. We work with everyone from FTSE 100 names to bright new start-ups, in every sector.
You’ll find us collaborating shoulder-to-shoulder with our clients, from the big picture right down to the detail: helping them define their strategy, deliver complex change, spot the right commercial opportunities, manage risk or bring their purpose and sustainability goals to life. Our clients love how we get to know what makes their businesses tick – slotting seamlessly into their teams and being proudly geeky about solving their challenges.
We have hubs in Europe, the US, Asia and Australia, and we work all around the world – from a wind farm in Wyoming to a boardroom in Berlin. Find us wherever there’s a challenge to be tackled and an impact to be made.
Baringa believe that diversity is paramount to driving creativity, innovation, and value for our clients and for our people, and creating an environment where everyone feels a sense of belonging is central to our culture.
What will you be doing?
The Finance Re-platforming Programme at Baringa has been established to migrate the Business Finance functions onto one unified platform. Currently, the business uses multiple standalone systems that have been implemented over a number of years resulting in duplication of inefficient processes and poor data quality.
We are seeking an experienced Business Change Consultant with a proven track record of working on Finance SaaS Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) projects to join us on an initial 6-month contract, with the potential for additional contract extension beyond the initial 6-month period.
The ideal candidate will possess an in-depth knowledge of project-based service delivery combined with finance and accounting processes. They will be comfortable operating independently and being able to proactively deliver the necessary deliverables and outcomes, liaising with other team members, vendors, Finance SMEs and business representatives as necessary.
The main purpose of this role:
As a Business Change Consultant, you will join the change team and play a critical role in the successful adoption of our Project Operations and Finance ERP system. Your specific responsibilities will be as follows:
Training:
- Develop different forms of eLearning (e.g. automated videos, guides, demos etc.) covering new end-to-processes, key changes, and system navigation
- Coordinate with Finance SMEs to gather their input into the development of effective eLearning
- Support Finance SMEs to develop and deliver classroom training, including accompanying reference material
- Evaluate effectiveness of training through feedback from business stakeholders
Communications & Stakeholder engagement
- Support the creation of change communications for different mediums (e.g. SharePoint, bulletins and presentations)
- Support the delivery of communications during team briefings and question and answer sessions
- Work and align with Baringa Enablement teams (Internal Comms, Learning & Development and SharePoint) to ensure content is aligned to the bigger picture and delivered in a joined-up manner
Change Management:
- Conduct change impact assessments to identify what’s changing for whom and the necessary actions to ensure readiness (from both a business operations and people perspective)
- Support the monitoring of business and people readiness and the completion of change actions
- Support the management of the Business Change Network and other programme contributors within the business
So, what are we looking for?
We recruit individuals at all levels based on merit. We are looking for the following key skills and experience:
- 5+ years working in a Business Change Consultant role including Finance ERP system implementations (ideally with Microsoft D365 experience in a project service delivery environment)
- Demonstrated ability in using Digital Adoption Platform software (or equivalent) to create eLearning
- Hands-on experience with supporting SMEs to deliver training sessions
- Skilled in producing business communications and the creation of SharePoint content
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of change
- Experience of working in a broad range of IT and business projects throughout the project lifecycle, with an understanding of project management practices
- A good understanding of finance teams, roles, business processes, and ways of working
- Able to work with high energy, solution-focus and a willingness to collaborate with others both within and outside the programme
